ThevillageofLa Chapelled’Abondance is located at the very heart of the picturesque Abondance valley.  It is just five kilometres from the resort of Chatel and around forty five minutes drive from the towns of Evian-les-Bains and Thonon-les-Bains, both to be found on the shores ofLake Geneva. Geneva and its airport is easily accessed and just 65 kilometres away.

During the Winter season the Panthiaz telecabine at the bottom of the road gives direct access into the huge Portes du Soleil ski area whilst Chatel’s ski lifts are a short drive away.  La Chapelle d’Abondance also has its own independent ski area, Cret Beni, perfect for beginners.

During the summer months the region is a perfect destination for other activities. During July and August the ski lifts operate for mountain bikers and the Alpine flowers are a sight to behold during May and June.  Other attractions include white water rafting, cruises onLake Genevaand several local thermal baths.
